Zeus é um cachorrinho de apenas 2 anos. Quando ele era em filhote entrou em uma briga com um outro cachorro, muito maior, e acabou machucando feio a patinha. Ele veio a perder essa pata traseira e durante esses dois anos de vida andava ou de forma bastante torta, tentando apoiar as 4 patas, ou levantando a pata traseira de forma desconfortável.
O problema é que isso no futuro podia acabar trazendo graves danos à sua coluna. E a dona dele, preocupada, procurou ongs e profissionais que pudessem ajudar.
A impressão 3D veio como uma amiga. A patinha de Zeus foi escaneada e então a partir da imagem foi modelada uma pata protética que depois foi impressa para que ele pudesse andar confortavelmente. A pata lembra bastante uma sapatilha de bailarina, é feita com material biodegradável e é presa por fitas de velcro para não machucar o animal. Por enquanto, Zeus ainda tenta remover a peça estranha ao seu corpo. Mas ele está passando por fisioterapia e sendo acompanhado de perto enquanto se adapta a usar sua nova pata verde.

PAW IS PRINTED IN 3D FOR PUPPY IN BRAZIL

3D printing came as a friend. Zeus’s paw was scanned and then from the image was modeled a prosthetic paw that was printed so he could walk comfortably. The paw is very reminiscent of a ballet shoe, it is made of biodegradable material and is fastened by Velcro straps so as not to injure the animal. For now, Zeus is still trying to remove the strange piece from his body. But he’s undergoing physical therapy and being closely watched as he adapts to using his new green paw.
