A China quer ser o primeiro país a estabelecer uma base na Lua e usará a tecnologia de impressão 3D para construir instalações, disse a agência espacial chinesa semanas após pousar um rover no outro lado da lua.
Autoridades da Administração Espacial Nacional da China (CNSA, na sigla em inglês) disseram que a próxima missão Chang’e-5 será lançada antes do final do ano e trará amostras de rochas lunares de volta à Terra. Três missões sucessivas irão explorar ainda mais a superfície estéril da lua e testar equipamentos para uma base de pesquisa lunar internacional.
“Chang’e-5 retornará a amostragem da missão da superfície da Lua em torno do final deste ano”, disse Wu Yanhua, vice-diretor da CNSA e vice-comandante do Programa de Exploração Lunar. “A primeira missão de exploração do nosso país em Marte ocorrerá antes e depois de 2020”.
Depois que o Chang’e-5 devolver rochas lunares da superfície da próxima missão, a China lançará o Chang’e-6 para trazer amostras de volta do pólo sul da lua. “Se a sonda pousar no lado mais próximo ou no outro lado da lua, tomaremos a decisão de acordo com o desempenho de Chang’e 5”, disse Wu.
Chang’e-7 estudará a superfície da terra, composição, terreno e ambiente espacial. Chang’e-8 se concentrará em pesquisas e experimentos científicos, como testar importantes tecnologias necessárias para construir uma base científica e de pesquisa na Lua. Ele explorará as possibilidades de construir uma base lunar usando a tecnologia de impressão 3D.

CHINA HAS PLANS TO PRINT HOUSES IN 3D AT THE MOON
China wants to be the first country to establish a base on the moon and will use 3D printing technology to build facilities, the Chinese space agency said weeks after landing a rover on the other side of the moon.
Officials from the National Space Administration of China (CNSA) said the next Chang’e-5 mission will be launched before the end of the year and will bring samples of lunar rocks back to Earth. Three successive missions will further explore the barren surface of the moon and test equipment for an international lunar research base.
“Chang’e-5 will return the moon’s surface mission sampling around the end of this year,” said Wu Yanhua, deputy director of the CNSA and deputy commander of the Lunar Exploration Program. “Our country’s first exploration mission on Mars will occur before and after 2020.”
After the Chang’e-5 return lunar rocks from the surface of the next mission, China will launch the Chang’e-6 to bring samples back from the south pole of the moon. “If the probe lands on the nearest side or the other side of the moon, we will make the decision according to the performance of Chang’e 5,” Wu said.
Chang’e-7 will study the surface of the earth, composition, terrain and space environment. Chang’e-8 will focus on research and scientific experiments, such as testing key technologies needed to build a scientific and research base on the Moon. It will explore the possibilities of building a lunar base using 3D printing technology.
