A montadora americana Ford anunciou que começará a usar a impressora Stratasys Infinite Build 3D para imprimir peças automotivas em grande escala.
A área é do tamanho de uma sala e a máquina permite que sejam impressas peças de quase qualquer tamanho ou formato. Inicialmente, a empresa trabalhará com protótipos, ferramentas, componentes e produtos de veículos de baixo volume, como Ford Performance.
A grande notícia é que essa atualização de tecnologia permitirá a criação de peças mais leves e mais baratas.
