Um protótipo do primeiro livro impresso em 3D do mundo foi recentemente revelado em Montreal, no Canadá. O livro, que os leitores já podem conhecer, é intitulado “Genius: 100 Visions of the Future”, em tradução livre: Genios, 100 visões de futuro. O livro foi criado para celebrar o 100º aniversário da teoria da relatividade de Albert Einstein.
O projeto é da Fundação Albert Einstein e da Universidade Hebraica de Jerusalém. O livro, que apresenta o rosto icônico da Einstein na espinha, foi desenhado pelo artista e arquiteto israelense Ron Arad.
Dentro do livro impresso em 3D, encontraremos cem páginas, cada uma com um breve texto resumido de parte da obra de alguns dos principais influenciadores, pensadores, artistas e cientistas da história.
Impressionantemente, o livro não foi simplesmente impresso em 3D, mas na verdade foi impresso em 3D no espaço, a bordo da Estação Espacial Internacional. Este incrível feito foi alcançado através da cooperação com Soichi Noguchi, um engenheiro aeronáutico japonês e um astronauta para JAXA, bem como com Yifat Sharon, que atuou como Gerente de Projeto para a iniciativa do Espaço Espacial 3D e NASA. É o primeiro livro a ser impresso em 3D no espaço.

BOOK WITH THE FORM OF EINSTEIN IS PRINTED IN 3D
A prototype of the world’s first 3D printed book was recently unveiled in Montreal, Canada. The book, which readers may already know, is titled “Genius: 100 Visions of the Future.” Genius, 100 Visions of the Future. The book was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity.
The project is from the Albert Einstein Foundation and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The book, which features Einstein’s iconic face on the spine, was designed by Israeli artist and architect Ron Arad.
Inside the book printed in 3D, we will find one hundred pages, each with a short text summarizing some of the work of some of the main influencers, thinkers, artists and scientists in history.
Impressively, the book was not simply printed in 3D, but was actually printed in 3D in space, aboard the International Space Station. This incredible feat was achieved through cooperation with Soichi Noguchi, a Japanese aeronautical engineer and an astronaut for JAXA, as well as with Yifat Sharon, who served as Project Manager for the 3D Space and NASA Initiative. It is the first book to be printed in 3D in space.
